Go ahead, dare me

Welcome.  You probably wonder what you've stumbled upon.  That's okay.  You're free to embark on this 40 day journey with me.  Or you can be a spectator.  Or "x" out and go back to playing Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook.  Really, whatever you decide is fine.

This blog is intended to just be a journal of my thoughts and experiences while doing "The Love Dare" – you know, the 40-day challenge that was demonstrated in the movie "Fireproof."  Forty days from now, Jay and I will celebrate our 17th anniversary.  Our many years together have been at times any number of these things:  exciting, frustrating, fulfilling, wonderful, disappointing, remarkable, educational, joyous, scary, BUSY and (insert adjectives here)...  Can anyone relate?   That list reads a little like a roller coaster.  But it's just life, isn't it?

So that no one starts vicious rumors that we were seen on America's Most Wanted for domestic abuse precipitated by torrid love affairs worries about us, so far, our marriage has proved to be: weather and lightning-proofidiot-proof(wow, that could have been A LOT of posts), kid-proof and remarkably solid during sickness and health.

So that's pretty much it. As you can tell from the title and header, we're in this for the long-haul. My decision to "do the dare" is just that. My decision. Come along if you want, or I'll see you over on the "other" blog.
