"For today's dare, get two sheets of paper. On the first one, spend a few minutes writing out positive things about your spouse. Then do the same with negative things on the second sheet. Place both sheets in a secret place for another day. There is a different purpose and plan for each. At some point during the remainder of the day, pick a positive attribute from the list and thank your spouse for having this characteristic."
I found today's dare fun, actually. There are many more positive characteristics about my husband than negative. Hands down. When comparing the lists, I found that anything on the "negative" side was really inconsequential, and I was humored by the fact that I had written them down at all.
God, I pray that you will always give me the ability and compassion to see the best in those around me, especially my husband and kids. In Jesus' name, Amen.
